Cell Reference of Present Value
In cell D13, the balance at the end of period zero, we want a reference to the
cell that contains the present value of the investment. Since the present value
is in cell B8, the correct Excel formula is just:
=B8
That is, the value in cell D13 is the same as the value currently stored in
cell B8. By using a cell reference, we know that the value in cell D13 will be
correct even if we alter the value of the present value in cell B8.
